Who We Are
Music for the Memory is a charity based in East Sussex that supports those living with dementia or memory loss, whilst also supporting their carers.
We run fun, free and non-obligatory weekly singing sessions because we understand the importance of music and the benefits that it has. Although our sessions are predominantly singing, we also have some vocal and physical exercises (seated or standing) as well as a short quiz.
Everyone who is associated with the organisation of this charity is either a current carer themselves or has experience of someone living with memory issues.
Meet the Team
There are currently 8 of us in ‘The Team’ but we also have other lovely volunteers to help us from time to time. That said, we are always on the lookout for more volunteers so that we can expand our programme further and reach out to anyone who would like to join us.
What our members say
Our lovely members are the essence of this charity. Rather than us tell you what they think, take a look for yourself!
Policies are an essential part of our charity. Alongside procedures, they provide a plan that allows us to achieve our aims on a day-to-day basis. They also ensure compliance with laws and regulations, give us guidance for decision making and streamline our internal processes.
