More Funding Awarded to Music for the Memory
We did it!!! We are delighted to say that we have been successful in our application for funding and will now be able to move our sessions to an even higher level.
We were very pleased that during lockdown we were still able to connect with many of our members and provide a supportive and successful weekly programme. We were then even more pleased to welcome new members, including people from both private and care homes from Sussex and around the country.
We realised, however, during our many weeks of online sessions, that two obstacles would always be present, and they would need to be addressed. Although we had tried hard to stream with clarity, there was a slight difficulty sometimes in our members’ hearing or seeing our lead singers, quiz hosts etc due to the usual online problems.
Therefore, as part of our continued desire to support our members and their carers, we applied for funding from the Sussex Community Foundation. We had in mind that, should we be successful, we would purchase equipment to allow absolute clarity from an audio and visual perspective. Due to this success, we will be able to improve the experience of members who attend our face-to-face sessions as well as anyone who can only join us virtually, for whatever reason.
Thank you, Sussex Community Foundation, – we will use the money wisely and effectively for the benefit of our members, current and future.
